This event, attended only through exclusive invite by some of the most affluent and influential industry experts and fine food connoisseurs, set itself apart as a milestone in the supply of luxury ingredients to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Hosted by the Irish Embassy in Riyadh on the 31st of August 2023, the experts of John Stone joined in with The Bridge to set up an unforgettable evening of luxury, relaxation and true human connection. This celebration of fine beef revealed the authentic qualities possessed only by first-rate meat and allowed all exclusive guests a chance to experience excellence.

At its conception, the event put into perspective the two things which established the link between the Republic of Ireland and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on that evening: the countries' dedication to hospitality and appreciation of culinary delight.

In a series of presentations and speeches, the Irish associates from Bord Bia along with the team of John Stone, represented by Jonathan Cahill, indulged all guests into the intimate details standing behind superior quality beef. The industry professionals discussed at length the merits of Irish land, the significance of sophisticated preparation and the characteristics of premium cuts. As facilitators throughout the whole evening, our part of the presentation served to build a bridge which established the connection between the connoisseur guests and the brilliant producers.

"The beauty of what we do with John Stone is the ageing process," explained Simon O'Neill in his short introduction, representing The Bridge. "You get a concentration of flavour, you get a density and you get a maturity which you don't get with wet-aged, you've got to age it on the bone and you will find this out when you taste it."

During the second part of this elegant celebration, the beef was allowed to speak for itself: Our in-house chef, Stelios Pavlou, offered his assistance to John Stone's culinary expert, Tomasz Hamziuk, in order to prepare some of the finest cuts Saudi Arabia has experienced to date. Each of the participants of the event was offered the opportunity to indulge in the whirlpool of stunning umami flavour and aroma that is consistent throughout all John Stone products.

As this historic occurrence has come to its conclusion, we are honoured to extend our deepest gratitude to the beef experts of John Stone for providing cuts that elevate the world standards of meat along with the team of The Bridge who poured endless hours and ceaseless passion which made this momentous occasion possible.
